Consorzio Viticoltori Alpago

The AVA Consortium was established on the initiative of a group of people with a passion for viticulture, involving other visionaries in the project of cultivating the vine according to the principles of sustainability and development and enhancement of the territory. And like that the green resistant vineyards are born, free from pesticides harmful to health, on the slopes of the Alpago mountain territory, dedicated to the cultivation of two types of white berried grapes, Solaris and Bronner, and of a black berried grape, the Cabernet Cortis.
These “niche” wines, esteemed by well-known sommeliers, are of great value thanks also to the Alpago area, where, moreover, wine was already being produced in the 1700s, particularly suited to the cultivation of these varieties.
The breeze of the Santa Croce’s Lake rests on the vines of the high lands of the Alpago and thus makes our wines unique and precious.

Our wines:

LASTRAMOR – SOLARIS
Variety that has a small, conical, or cylindrical cluster, often with a wing and moderately compact. The grape is medium-small, spherical, and yellow green in colour, the skin is thick, rather firm, moderately waxy and with an aromatic flavour.
Straw yellow wine with greenish reflections, its scent is fine and delicate reminiscing of citrus fruits, tropical fruit, sage, aromatic herbs while on the palate it shows a good aroma and minerality. The taste is full and savoury with a very persistent aftertaste. It can be served as an aperitif, ideal with fish risotto, or with vegetable soups. Good is the combination with white meats, fish dishes cooked in the oven and on the grill. Ideal with vegetables, especially with green or white asparagus.
The production differs according to the vineyards located at different altitudes and this allows for an explosion of scents to be expressed: enveloping in the mouth, it is sunny and nocturnal at the same time, floral and mineral, in a word it is intriguing.

LE PORTE – BRONNER
This wine has a straw yellow colour with marked greenish reflections. Intense and harmonious bouquet with apple, pear, and acacia flower notes, on a slight herbaceous background, reminding of fresh grass or freshly mown meadows.
An elegant wine right for aperitifs, appetizers, or cold cuts, and first courses such as soups, tortelli, gnocchi and risotto. Suitable for fish or white meats with delicate cookings. Excellent with young cheeses thanks to its acidic thiol and good alcohol content.
The name is a tribute to the town of Codenzano, the vineyard par excellence of the Municipality of Chies d’Alpago, as it recalls the ancient custom of separating the vineyards with the most disparate doors to delimit the property, it doesn’t matter if was an expanse of contiguous rows: the important thing was to have a door to access them!

RIÙ – CABERNET CORTIS
Vine with strong vegetative vigour, rustic and with satisfactory productivity, which prefers heavy, clayey, and hilly soils. The bunch is medium or medium-small in size, the grape has a bluish-purplish colour with a thick skin and a spheroid-ellipsoidal shape.
The wine obtained is of good and sometimes high alcohol content, with an intense purplish red colour, slightly tannic and pleasantly soft, which recalls in its fruity aroma the blackberries and raspberries of the undergrowth. As we age it or refine it, it assumes austerity, nobility, and more complex olfactory sensations.
