Land sport
In winter, real tracks dedicated to sled dogs are set up, running and encouraging the dogs to run like the wind will feel like experiencing an adventure from the past.
The joy of dogs in carrying out their task, the safe driving of the Muscher make this discipline accessible to everyone, even the smallest.
In Alpago there is a sleed dog school, where you can experience the thrill of ski joring, cross-country skiing with a sled dog that helps us make less effort.
The Club offers all dog lovers the opportunity to get to know and practice these sports on trails set in the splendid scenery of the Cansiglio Forest with rings of 2, 8 and 12 km.
We also organize a rich calendar of races both on land and snow open to all enthusiasts, under the careful supervision of qualified federal veterinarians.

Dog sledding
It was born in the Great North of America as a “heavy” means of transport. It is practiced with sleds pulled by packs of 4 to 10 dogs in idyllic scenarios disturbed only by their dogs breathing and the crackling of the snow under their paws …
Pulka
Like skijoring, but with the addition of a sled pulled by one or more dogs. This discipline takes up the Nordic tradition of having a light and silent means of transport to be used during hunting trips.
Canicross
These are walks / excursions with the dog tied to oneself by a belt with a cord long enough to not hinder the movements of both. This discipline, like all subsequent ones, can also have competitive implications, within specially organized competitions
Dogbike
The dog is tied to the mountain bike with a cord of about 3 meters. Good control and a certain harmony with the dog are essential. It is practiced along country roads, dirt and flat, not trafficked by vehicles.
Ski Joring
Cross-country ski with the “extra traction” of the dog tied to the owner by means of a special belt and elasticated cord.
Dog sledding itineraries
Even dog sleds find their environment in Cansiglio, in fact it is no coincidence that in these places there have been some races of the World Cup and the World Sleddog Championships. The headquarter is located in Pian Osteria, the track passes in Campon to enter the Cansiglio forest with suggestive landscapes among ancient trees. There are three possible routes: the baby track with 2 km to go, then the 8 km one and the 12 km one.
