Sport acqua

The Santa Croce’s Lake is the second largest natural body of water in the region of Veneto.
Its surface reflects the image of the beautiful mountains that surround it and offers incredible views that fascinate visitors from all over the world.

The lake is the ideal place to practice sport-fishing thanks to the massive presence of carp, chub, pike, trout, whitefish, and perch.
Halfway through the main path on the lake there is the main office and the boat rental of the Alpago fishing basin n.7 while on the southern shore, in the locality of Santa Croce, there is the Ichthiogenic Centre, an institute that aims to redevelop the area and the protection of the most valuable species at risk of extinction.

The Centre is built with spectacular windows that directly overlook the lake.

Sport fishing.

Santa Croce’s Lake at 386 m above sea level, is very popular amongst sport fishing enthusiasts due to the abundance and quality of its fish fauna. In fact, the lake presents 15 different species including whitefish and perch, which are its main components, lake trout and brown trout. Particularly popular with fishermen, especially in recent years, are carp, pike and eel, the latter being the subject of a specific reintroduction plan. For those who love numbers, the specimens caught in the lake are of particularly interesting dimensions.
